Missing Persons Unidentified Bodies
The Ontario Provincial Police and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario have
partnered to establish the “Resolve Initiative”. This unique partnership is a first
of its kind in Ontario, and has the express purpose of assisting the citizens of
Ontario by locating missing people and identifying found human remains.
Missing People - Information posted on this website includes all
OPP missing person cases. In addition, we proactively support the inclusion of missing
people from Municipal and First Nations police agencies.
Unidentified Human Remains – Cases from all police services throughout
the province of Ontario are displayed on the website, dating back to 1970.
Public support of our initiative is an integral part of the ongoing success of our
program. Information provided by members of the public has directly assisted the
OPP in solving a number of cases. We continue to encourage and support members of
the public to submit information on any case viewed on our site.
As part of our services, a toll-free telephone line 1-877-FINDME (1-877-934-6363)
is available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Information can
also be submitted via e-mail to: opp.isb.resolve@ontario.ca. Please see our
Submit A Tip area for more detailed
information.
How To Use This Site
When using search criteria, remember that the more information you include in the
search fields, the fewer records you will see in the results, as all cases that
do not match your search terms will be removed.
If you enter search terms and your case does not appear, try removing a term and
run the search again.
Please keep in mind, when searching Unidentified Bodies, that some recovered bodies
may be skeletal or incomplete. In such cases, using search terms for eye and hair
colour may exclude potential matches.
